Tammy Hawkins has spent her entire life living in Vernon, and a few years ago inherited her childhood home. She currently works at FreshCo as a cashier. Unfortunately she required brain surgery late in 2024. Despite being advised to be off work for 4 months, she had to return after only 2 months due to the growing financial burden. After suffering some unfortunate side effects from returning to work she had to reduce her weekly hours from 40 to 24. Tammy admitted she has a really hard time asking for help, however her lovely tenant stepped up and contacted us about two cracked windows in the house which were beyond Tammy’s ability to take care of given everything she had been through.
